Balance City, Schillerpromenade, Berlin
Densification of a 19th-century residential area, implementing of two different building types on the rooftops of the existing buildings. Housing model: experiment and everyday life. Highly private zones, external spaces and new service locations are connecting with green spaces, energy-generating solar systems and sports and leisure facilities. The individual “plots” are not bound by fences of hedges. Landscape, city and building are difficult to distinguish.
